Is it July already?!?! I can’t even believe that Summer is here! It has been awhile since I have wrote out a 5 things Friday post. I figured this month is a great month to start fresh! Here is a little sneak into my life and what I have been up to!
1. My Website if Finished!
I am still so happy with my new website! Shompton did such a fantastic job and really listened to me and what I wanted. I also revamped my pricing guides and all of my packages! To my future brides, you won’t be disappointed!! I have some pretty fun weddings already booked and can’t wait to book another beautiful fall wedding and some 2017 weddings as well! Did I mention I love to travel?!?
2. What is my favorite 4th of July Recipe?
RumChata Pudding Shots are such a hit at all of our Block Parties and Bachelorette parties during the summer. My favorite drink is RumChata and Root Beer so I instantly knew I had to figure out a way to make it a shot. I was introduced to pudding shots by my cousin and loved how they tasted. I immediately had to do some research to see what else I can find! I like to keep mine frozen until I hand them out and everyone LOVES them! Here is the recipe:
1 Box of White Chocolate Instant Pudding
1 Cup Milk
1 Cup RumChata
1 Container of Whipped Topping
Mix all ingredients together and place in small cups and put in freezer until ready to serve. I promise you will not be disappointed!! This year I am also going to try a mudslide pudding shot for this years block party!
3. What song is on repeat on Pandora?
Just like Fire by Pink is a song that I always crank up with my windows down while driving. The beat and the lyrics are just so upbeat and powerful. I have always been a fan of Pink and her songs. Another one of my favorites is Raise your Glass. Both are great summer jam-out songs!
4. What is my favorite part of the wedding day?
Ok, So I actually have two favorite parts of the wedding day! As a Nebraska Wedding Photographer I was able to capture my two favorite moments perfectly at this summer wedding. The first moment is right after the first kiss and the Bride and Groom are walking back up the isle. You can always see the pure joy on the Bride and Groom’s faces. My second favorite moment is the father/daughter dance and the mother/son dance. I love being able to see how proud the parents are of their children. You can see how much love that this bride and her father have for each other. They truly have a special bond, so much that she even had a butterfly in her bouquet to honor him and all that he has done.
5. What is a recent purchase that I have made?
For this wedding season I have added another flash to my equipment. The Canon Speedlight 600EX-RT and I am loving it so far! I am also super excited to be able to create some fun reception images with it. Having two flashes can really create some beautiful lighting and I can’t wait to learn more about it and try it out!
