After the Huskers won, we drove down to Arroyo Grande and stayed with family for the next few days.  It was so nice being able to catch up with all the cousins, aunts and uncles and Grandma Teddy.  We even were able to get a great group photo.  These are the memories that I will cherish forever.

Our next stop was Las Vegas where we stayed the night at the Hard Rock Casino.  When we got there I was not feeling good so I just went bed.  Ryan did a bit of gambling and then came back up because he was not feeling good.  We ended up catching NoroVirus.  A virus that has flu like symptoms that lasts about 24 hours.  The crazy thing about this is that all but one person out of the family caught this nasty bug!  We ended up getting some room service and laid around all day.  So much for a good Vegas experience!

That night we both felt a bit better and went to Andiron Steak and Sea Restaurant.  On my bucket list was trying their Mac and Cheese Waffles.  We took the order to go and devoured them back at the hotel!  It was nice to feel better on our last night there!

The next stop on our Road Trip was Hoover Dam.  We did a short tour through the Dam and learned about the history of it and how it was built.  It is truly magnificent.  I would recommend to everyone to visit the Hoover Dam if you have not!  One thing that I did learn about Ryan is that he is a bit afraid of heights.  He did not want to look over the Dam.  I thought it was just so cool how massive it was and how it was built for a specific purpose.

In this last photo, you can see a huge difference between the color of the white and the red rock.  The color difference shows the highest the water level was at.  This happened in 1983. Since then, it has dropped drastically and continues to fall.  This was an amazing thing to see in person.  The magnitude of this structure was unbelievable.  I am so thankful to have this opportunity to take a road trip across the US with my husband! Up next is the Grand Canyon!StacyBlogSign
