Meet Kason.  This little heart-breaker turned ONE! (on Valentines Day!) Yes, I am a bit behind in my blogging 🙁  But today is all about this handsome, fun-loving boy.  He has a personality of his own and loves to be in front of the camera.  Since it is a bit cold outside here in Lincoln, NE in February, we decided to shoot some pictures at the State Capitol and then do a cake smash at my “studio.”

“Hey Mom!  Look, I’m ONE!”

How can you not love his outfit.  The suspenders, the mini work boots, and bow tie!  Ariana has a great fashion sense.

A boy and his chocolate cake…you would like he would dig right in!  Kason was not a huge fan of this  cake smash.  He did not like getting getting dirty, especially when we tried to get his feet in it 🙂  He was so nice about eating his cake like a Big Boy!

I met Ariana through a mutual friend by doing her maternity session at the Capitol.  I was also able to the Kason’s newborn, 6 month and year photos also!  Ariana’s mom got married between that time and they were one of my very first weddings!  Ariana comes for an amazing family, so you can see where she gets her positive outlook and genuinely kind personality.  Kason is so lucky to have her as his mom and a beautiful family to be surrounded by.

 Ariana and Kason, It has been wonderful getting to you know you and watching Kason grow over the past year!  I can’t believe how fast the time goes by.  I look forward to seeing what your next adventures and accomplishments are!!
