Beth and Jason were married on a beautiful afternoon in June. Beth put on a gorgeous low-back lace dress at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Geneva, Nebraska. Jason saw Beth for the first time in the courtyard and we took a few photos of them before we started on family portraits. They had their reception at Stone Creek Event Center in McCool Junction, NE. Everyone made it just in time to the reception before it started to downpour. As a nice Nebraska storm passed through, they shared their first dance and cut the cake. They say rain on your wedding day brings good luck to your marriage!
I love that Beth and Jason stopped at this spot to take photos of just them. It is not very often that the couple gets alone time on a wedding day. I try to make this happen as much as I can. The day just goes by so fast and I feel that having a few minutes alone is a great way to soak up all of the emotions. Beth and Jason are so perfect for each other. Even having meet them only once, you can just tell when two people are in love. It makes my job super easy when they have that chemistry 🙂 Just look, they are the cutest!
Stone Creek Event Center in McCool Junction, is a great place to hold a reception. Beth and Jason had set everything up perfectly. Instead of doing a receiving line, they asked their guests to come over and take a photo with them. I personally think that this was a great idea! It allowed them to talk to each guest and help them remember who all came! Dinner was served by Kerry’s and was so good. Their menu consisted of a fresh green salad, green bean casserole, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken and cubed steak. I could have went back for seconds, it was so good!
The rain didn’t stop the guests from enjoying Beth and Jason’s first dance or dancing themselves. They also enjoyed the cake and mints after the cake cutting. Stone Creek Event Center was the perfect venue for Beth and Jason! Thank you for having me capture your perfect day! I wish you both many years of happiness!
