1.  What am I reading?

To start off the New Year on a good note, I will be reading You are a Badass by Jen Sincero.  It is about how to stop doubting your greatness and start living an awesome life.  I have heard so many good things about this book, I am very excited to start it.  Over our Christmas vacation I was able to finish the book I was reading last month called Little Beach Street Bakery by  Jenny Colgan.  It was a very easy read and absolutely adorable.  You could predict what was going to happen throughout the book, and it was not a super duper lovey dovey book!  I would definitely recommend it, if your looking for a cute easy read!

2.  What did we spend our New Years Eve doing?

My husband and I were headed back home from our Christmas road trip and made it to Durango, Colorado.  We made a few stops at Monument Valley, the Four Corners, and Mesa Verde National Park during the day.  By 7pm we were both exhausted and opted to eat at a local Pizzera called Fired Up Pizzera.  If your in Durango, CO, you need to stop here!  A-M-A-ZING!!  After that we went back to our hotel and fell asleep…before the NY ball dropped!

3.  What song is on repeat on Pandora?

Go Big or Go Home by American Authors is what is on repeat this month!  I love the beat and it always puts me in a good mood.  Plus, it is a great motto for the New Year! 😉

4.  What was a purchase I have recently made?

Wine, lots and lots of Wine!  On our Christmas road trip, my husband and I spent a day in Napa Valley wine tasting.  Needless to say, we came back to Nebraska with 16 bottles of wine, a case of beer, and some olive oil and balsamic vinegar!  This new year,  I plan on learning how to cook with olive oil and use balsamic vinegar in some recipes!  Did I mention that I was able to cross this off of my bucket list… eek!

5.  What are my New Years Resolutions?

I really don’t like setting new years resolutions, but I try to set some goals for the year.  I have to go through and evaluate my goals from 2015 to see how I did and what I need to improve on for this year.  I will put out a blog post of a few within the next month or so!

Hope everyone had a safe holiday season!

P.S.

Congrats to all of the newly engaged couples!  I am currently booking 2016 weddings and would love to chat with you 🙂  2016 Wedding Bookings
