Here is my third blog post of our Post Honeymoon Road Trip. Our main purpose of going out to California over Christmas vacation was to see Ryan’s Family. The added bonus was the Husker Football game. Our proud Cornhusker football team made it to the Foster Farms Bowl in San Fransisco. We took Ryan’s dad, Brian and his brother Eric to the good ol’ Husker Football game. Even though it was actually really cold for San Fransisco, we had so much fun cheering on our home team. A lot of these photos are from my cell phone so they are not the best quality, but they say the best camera is the one that you have with you. So, that is what I went with!
Before watching the Huskers play at the Foster Farms Bowl, Ryan and I went to Pier 39 in San Fransisco and ate some lunch. When I go on vacations, my day revolves around which restaurants we are going to be eating at. This was no different here. After lunch, we walked around the pier and made sure to see the sea lions. This is one of my favorite attractions at Pier 39. I have been out here a few times and have enjoyed it every time!
I loved that the Sea Lions had really put on a good show for us. This day trip to San Fransisco was defiantly a memorable one. Ryan is a huge fan of the 49er’s and was pretty darn excited to watch a football game in Levi’s Stadium. It was even better because the Husker Football team was able to pull off a win, after having a difficult year with a new coach. After the game we made the long drive to San Luis Obispo to stay with one of Ryan’s aunts and get ready for another Christmas dinner. It was such a blessing to be able to spend all this time with this side of his family. They have a special place in our hearts. Next stop on our Road Trip is Hoover Dam!
