I really enjoyed writing these 5 things Fridays last year, but when life happened around June, I unfortunately didn’t keep up with in the following months.  So as they say, New Year, Fresh Start — so we try again!  A small year in review:

1.  New Jobs, New Careers

2017 was the year of new jobs and careers for both my husband and I.  I started with Heiss Chiropractic and Acupuncture in May, right at the start of busy season for me.  I have loved working with the patients and learning the health insurance side of things.  I have also been working on my photography business, which has been so great this past year!  I have loved working at Capital View Winery and Vineyards a few times this year as well. To say this year was busy is an understatement!  Ryan went to CDL school at SCC and got his CDL license in October.  He began his driving career at a company out of Kansas and has already been 30 miles from Mexico up to Green Bay.

2.  Hospital Visits

This has been a year of hospital visits.  In June, my dad had a motorcycle accident and broke his leg/ankle.  He was life-flighted to Bryan West and spent close to two weeks in the ICU and had multiple surgeries.  He took his first step in the middle of December during his Physical Therapy.  He is probably one of the luckiest people I know, because the Dr. said this was 2nd to worse break they have ever attempted to put back together.  He still has a long road ahead of him, but is doing well.  My mom also ended up spending the night in the hospital a few days before Christmas with Kidney Stones.  She said that pain was worse than childbirth!  Here’s to a Safe and Healthy 2018!

3.  Travel

This year has been a great year for small trips around the US.  In January, I went to the Photo Native photography conference and learned so much and met so many amazing people.  I hope to post about that soon 🙂  In May I took my dear friend Julie, to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester for her treatments.  In August, Ryan and I went on a mini vacation to Colorado to see some good friends and the mountains.  This has been the first trip that I actually got car sick and altitude sick…first time for everything I guess.  In October, we spent the weekend in Kansas City for Ryan’s Birthday.  Our friends came with us and we celebrated by going to Top Golf and the NASCAR race.  In November, I had a Chiropractic conference in Tulsa.  Ryan and I also made a mini vacation out to surprise his Grandma in California for her 80th birthday.  I always love spending time with that family!  I am hoping that next year brings more travels and adventures with my friends and family!

4.  2017 & 2018 Clients

I couldn’t be happier with the group of client that I had during 2017 and couldn’t be more excited for my 2018 clients!  I have been so blessed with meeting the most amazing, kind-hearted people around.  I am hoping to keep up on blogging this year to showcase all of the pretty faces!  I am currently booking 2018 and 2019 weddings!  Email me at hello@stacykamler.com for more info!  No location is to far away, as you read above, I love traveling 🙂

5.  Our New Addition

We had added a sweet little golden retriever to our family in October.  It was such a spur of the moment decision, but has been such a blessing.  A few weeks after we got Remy, Bailey passed away.  Remy has helped heal our hearts afters losing Bailey and has brought lots of laughs, frustrations, and love into our home.  Here was our first family photo on the day we brought her home.  P.S.  Just two nights ago, she finally started sleeping in her kennel for 7 hours at night!  Win for us 🙂
