Last January, I had the opportunity to go to Provo, Utah for my first large out-of-state photography conference. It was the first time I had flown by myself, stayed in a hotel room by myself and rented a car by myself. I did not know anyone at the conference, but once I got there I had met so many great photographers and kind-hearted people. I took an afternoon and traveled up the mountains to Bridal Veil Falls with another fellow photographer. We had to hike about a half of a mile to see the frozen waterfall. We met a few guys that were flying a drone up the falls and that was the coolest thing! I also spent a few hours driving around the mountains with another friend and on the way back home, we saw a moose! Take a look at the beautiful Provo, Utah Mountains.
At the Photo Native Conference in Provo, Utah they hosted a silent party. It was the coolest thing ever because you had your own set of headphones to listen to the music. They also had a makeup station, cotton candy bar and a photo booth. My new friends and I had such a fun time! One of my favorite parts of the trip was a dinner with India Earl. I leaned so much about life and business when chatting with her and the other girls for a few hours. It was my pushing force to be better all year long.
I can’t wait for 2018 and all of the goodness that will come with it. There is going to be so many good changes that I am planning on implementing in my business and personal life. The one thing that I will also take with me from that conference is the above quote!
