July 7, 2018 a very special day that Kate and Brent will never forget. As Kate put her Maggie Sottero lace gown on with the help of her bridesmaids and mom, Brent was reminiscing and laughing with his groomsmen. Kate and Brent were married at the North American Martyrs Catholic Church in Lincoln, NE. They had picked Roca Ridge Event Center for their reception. All of the details throughout the day were absolutely perfect for them and I loved capturing their special memories.
Kate and Brent did not do a first look before the ceremony so this moment was very special for them. It was the perfect moment shared between them. This has been one of my first couples who have not seen each other prior to the wedding in a long time. I was a bit nervous on how the timing of the day was going to go, but I have to say. It was flawless. We ran ahead of schedule all day and had plenty of time for photos and a party bus!
On our way to Roca Ridge Event Center, we stopped by a trail near Roca to take the bridal party photos. This group of girls and guys were so fun! I have not laughed this much in a long time! We even had time to jump on the party bus and go for a short ride before we had the grand entrance. Take a look at all of the laughs we had!
We also had some time for my favorite thing of the day: Bridal Party portraits. Seriously, can this bride get any more beautiful. Kate carried such a timeless romantic energy with her all day. These two have been so great to work with throughout this entire planning process, so when it came to their wedding day, I couldn’t have been more excited to capture their love for each other!
Roca Ridge Event Center was the perfect reception hall near Lincoln, NE for Kate and Brent’s wedding. Their lace and burlap decor with pearl accents and sunflowers were simple and elegant. Just like the newly married couple and their love. There is just something so simple and easy with Kate and Brent. They instantly make you feel like they have know you for years! About three photos above, I had asked Brent to come up behind Kate and give her a big tickle and hug. Instead, he tried to pick her up and to his surprise she dropped in his arms as dead weight. It was literally one of the funniest moments between them. They loving giving each other a hard time, but love showing how much they love each other also. As a Nebraska Wedding Photographer, the best words that you can tell your photographer is “We trust you. Just let us know what to do! We love your work and know that these will be perfect!” Kate said these words to me as we began bridal portraits and I couldn’t stop shooting. It not only relaxed me, but also helped them relax in front of the camera. It was absolutely perfect! Thank you for trusting me and I hope that you love these photos as much as I do!! Oh my goodness, Stacy!! As we sit here on our honeymoon, I kept telling Brent we needed to find WiFi because I knew the blog post would be up soon and I couldn’t wait to see the photos you snapped. You were not only our photographer, but also took on the role of coordinator and yes, even therapist as I started to get nervous and antsy. These photos are beautiful, and I’m so glad we followed the advice and recommendations of the Kounovsky’s to book you. You will forever be a wonderful part of our favorite memories.
