Shelby and Connor’s wedding day will be a wedding that I will always remember. They were married in their home town of North Platte, NE. Shelby and Connor planned a beautiful day with the help of their friends and family. It is evident how much love and support that these two have from all of these people. From the ceremony to the toasts and bridal party photos, there were so many laughs and happy tears. I am so blessed to have been a part of this amazing day!
The one thing that I took away from this wedding day was how important first looks really are. There is just something so special about having 20 minutes to yourselves that day. Connor was so excited to see Shelby in her Allure bridal dress and her hair and makeup all done. Her outside beauty perfectly matched her inside beauty. Have I mentioned how big of hearts that these two have? Because they do! They are two of the most genuine and selfless people that I have met. Shelby and Connor are the absolute perfect couple and I can’t wait to see what great things they will accomplish!
After their ceremony at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, we took a party bus to Scout Rest Ranch in North Platte. If you remember back in the first paragraph I said that this will be a wedding I will always remember. It happens to be because of this amazingly fun group of people and maybe being stranded at this park in North Platte with them for 2 hours!!
On our way there, the party bus got a flat tire and had to drop us off to get a different bus. This bridal party made this crazy adventure so fun! They danced, rapped, laughed, and did some pretty epic backflips. Oh and did I mention that it was only 90 degrees and not a cloud in site:) This speaks so much about Shelby and Connor to who they are as people because they took this situation and made the best out of it and I would totally do it all over again wth these guys 🙂 I mean who else can say that they had an epic rap battle at Scout Rest Ranch on their wedding day?!
Once we made it back to Creekside Event Center, my personal favorite part of the evening was listening to the toasts. Connor’s little brother, Ethan had everyone in tears. It was one of the best speeches I have ever heard at a wedding – and did I mention that he is only 13! Shelby and Connor, you are so blessed to have such a loving support system and I know that your love will go the distance! Thank you for having me be a part of it and I can’t wait to see what your next adventure will be on this journey! I loved visiting North Platte and can’t wait to return!
