Kelsey and Kyle had the perfect day in October to get married. They were married at a dear friend’s home and only had their family at the ceremony. It was a beautiful, cloudy day and everyone was relaxed from the beginning. The backdrop was a large pond and lots of trees and green grass. Kelsey and Kyle then had their Reception in Geneva, at the Fairgrounds and had a wonderful supper and dance. I absolutely loved that Kelsey and Kyle had decided to eat dinner first with their family and then once they were done, the guests began to arrive to eat and celebrate with them. One special thing that her caterer had made was her Paternal Grandfather’s secret BBQ sauce. This recipe has been in the family for years and it meant so much to her to have that little piece incorporated into the wedding. I also must say that they cake not only looked pretty, but tasted so good!! I must admit, I do love my sweets 😉 Take a look at how amazing their day was!
Another special part of their day was the gift that Kelsey gave to Kyle. She had one of his favorite childhood books rebound and a love note written inside. It just melts me heart you guys!
Their nieces and nephews have a very special place in Kelsey and Kyle’s hearts. I know that they will be great parents themselves because of how much love that they show these girls.
The best part of a smaller, more intimate ceremony is that the most important people share with you in something so special. I loved this ceremony and loved the way they looked at each other. One other great thing is that you get to celebrate right away after with a family champagne/sparkling grape juice toast!!
The Unity Cross was also something that was very special to these two. Kelsey’s Caterer made this especially for them in remembrance of her Maternal Grandfather.
A huge Thank You to Mr. and Mrs. Kovanda for opening up your home for this day to happen! Your hospitality was so appreciated 🙂
Kyle is on the volunteer fire department in Geneva and Kelsey wanted to give him a few special photos of them with the truck. He was pretty darn excited!
Another really awesome surprise was that it was Kyle’s parents 40th anniversary and they celebrated that as well! They brought out a cake that resembled their own wedding cake and had them do another cake cutting. The love that surround these two was so heart-warming to be around.
Kelsey was a dream bride. She had everything super organized, laid-back and open to ideas. I loved working with the both of them as they really do have hearts of gold and are truly some of the nicest most, loving people that I know. They not only created this day for them, but also created a day for others to remind them as to what marriage is all about. I loved spending the day with these families and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. I know it is only going to be great things! Thank you for being an inspiration and for opening up your hearts for all of us to see!
