Lauren and Adam’s country engagement session was a blast. I don’t think that I have laughed so much while taking photos in a long time. I knew Lauren from my high school days and she is the sweetest person. Lauren and Adam had met about two years ago at their work, the USDA. She has always said she wanted to marry a cowboy and I am so happy that her dream came true for her. Adam is the kindest man and is the perfect cowboy for Lauren.
Marshall and Prince took Adam for a wild ride during these engagement photos. While getting the horses ready for photos, Marshall decided to buck Adam off. We rode them out to the pastures and got some beautiful photos with them. A huge thank you to Adam’s dad, Joe for helping with these beautiful animals.
One of my favorite parts of getting to know my couples during their engagement session is learning how the proposal happened. Adam had all of their closest family and friends gather at their favorite bar. He then had significant people in their lives present her roses and cards with specific dates on them. One had the date of their first kiss, when they first met, the date he asked her parents for her hand in marriage and then the last one had the current date on it and was blank. Lauren’s parents presented her with this card and the final rose. At this time, Adam got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
Lauren and Adam enjoy having BBQ at their home in Lawrence with their friends. They are working on remodeling their first house together. He loves to play guitar and she enjoys dancing. They are the perfect fit! I loved spending time with these two and loved everything about their country engagement session.
