This past weekend was absolutely beautiful so I figured I would get my Christmas post up from my mini December vacation.  My good friend Stacey Keys and I always spend one day together to get all of our Christmas shopping done.  We usually go to Omaha, but this year, we both needed a little get away so we decided to go down to Kansas City.  We met up with a good friend of Stacey’s for supper and then headed out to Crown Center.  This place is amazing.  I wish that we had something like this in Lincoln.  We literally just sat here for a few hours and drank our coffee and watched people ice skate.

I do love Christmas time, It is one of my favorite times of the year.  We got so lucky this year for our shopping trip, because the weather was amazing for December.  Stacey and I were roommates throughout college and when we were stressed out we would go to Sioux City for a day.  This has turned into our yearly trip.  I am so glad that we still get to have this little tradition kept alive for the past 8 years.  Kansas City is also one of my favorite cities.  It is close enough to go away for a weekend and really enjoy all that it has to offer.  I can’t wait until next year to go back and get our amazing ice cream and our truffle oil cheesy fries!  Thanks for spending the weekend with me 🙂
