Dena and Ralph were married on a beautiful, hot day in July at Tower Hall in Malcolm, Nebraska. They had an outdoor ceremony with beautiful white chairs and a stunning archway decorated with flowers as a backdrop. I met Dena at a Bridal Fair last year and then she contacted me about doing her photos. We had our engagement session last summer before their big move to Utah. It was so fun and I immediately was looking forward to their wedding. It was such a fun day and I was so blessed to capture some fun and special memories for Dena and Ralph. Take a look at some of the laughs and moments that they shared at Tower Hall!
Dena was surrounded by friends and family getting ready for her big day. She slipped on her stunning sheath, lace dress with the help of her mom and maid of honor. It was absolutely perfection for her outdoor ceremony in the summer! Her mom made the bouquets, and helped with all of the reception decor as well. Dena and Ralph are big Dallas Cowboy fans, and I love the way they incorporated that into their cake table and a few photos as well!
Dena and Ralph shared their first look at a park in Malcolm. Her maid of honor and his best man were there to support their friends. I love it when my couples do a first look, because usually they are so nervous and just seeing your partner, just calms so many nerves. She was so stunning and Ralph looked pretty sharp in his blue suit jacket. Also, Just look at that bouquet…It is so big and beautiful!!
Dena and Ralph shared their vows in front of their friends and family at Tower Hall. As a Nebraska Wedding Photographer, I love getting to shoot an outdoor ceremony. It really allows you to be able to go around and capture a few more details than what churches will allow. Two of my favorite photos are of her mom and dad with their arms around each other at the end of the isle and then when Dena’s dad is walking down the aisle, he glances at her and just has the look of such a proud and happy father!
After the Ceremony, we ventured on the party bus to the park to take a few bridal party photos. This group of friends were so great to work with! Everyone smiled, laughed, danced and cheered for the newlyweds. I couldn’t have asked for anything better and I am sure Dena and Ralph would agree!!
After a few more photos and a stop at the Ding-a-Ling Bar in Raymond, we made it back to the reception in time for cake cutting, a fajita bar (which was AMAZING!), toasts and first dances. These toasts are ones that I will never forget! Dena’s maid of honor told a few secrets about their “younger” days and her brother started off with a little rap for his toast and ended with a football chant! Dena and Ralph said a few words and were ready to get the party started! They shared a very special first dance and then two more with their parents. Ending the night getting guests on the dance floors and sharing laughs with friends and family who shared in their special day!
